DESCRIPTION:  Excellent find for serious yachtsman.  You are viewing a Paul E. Luke (Boothbay Maine) large 100 pound 3 piece take-apart Herreshoff design storm anchor in good used condition.  Take-apart storm anchors are usually kept disassembled in the bilge area .. or somewhere out of the way onboard.  It can be assembled in about 2-3 minutes after you're familiar with it.  A storm anchor is the best insurance and investment for your yacht.  No problems or hidden damages to mention .. just normal scuffing from real life usage.  The retail price for a Luke #100 from Paul E. Luke Inc. is $1019.  Defender (the marine outfitter supply company) sells the Luke #100 for $1154.95.  Mine is $500.  There is a complete chart of the weights and dimensions of the anchor .. and more anchoring details and advice available on the Paul Luke website (Google it).  Please review the 12 gallery photos that are arranged for maximum understanding .. contact me if anything important to you is unclear.

2012 BMW 3-Series GT caught being transported I can’t say we’ve really laid awake at night thinking about it, but the reveal of the BMW 3 Series GT must be getting close. As, for that matter, must the whole new 2012 BMW 3-Series. We first reported that BMW were making a 3-Series GT back in 2009, but we did know they wouldn’t be building one on the current platform, waiting instead for when the new 3-Series due to put in an appearance, probably at Frankfurt in the Autumn (if not before).

Alfa Romeo will formally unveil the production version of the 8C Spider – a limited run of 500 soft-tops – at this spring’s Geneva Motor Show. It’s powered by the same 4.7-litre V8 producing 444bhp as the 8C coupe that so entranced CAR on our recent road trip from Monaco to Modena.Prospective buyers will face a long wait for the Spider, however.

Volkswagen surprised the Paris motor show attendees with this production-ready Golf GTI concept car shown today. Although dubbed a concept, everything looks and feels like a showroom ready hot hatch. Expect to see the real thing at next spring's 2013 Geneva motor show.
