I bought this wheel from a friend in Malaysia. He said it was off a VI-RS. Most VI-RS have air bag/SRS wheels.

This is a very rare wheel. Nobody else will have this wheel at the car show. I do not own an EK anymore, and i have been hoarding this for awhile, but its time to let it go.

I have seen one other wheel on eBay in the history of owning this, the guy said it was a very rare EK steering wheel. I challenge anyone to find this same wheel.

This wheel is considerably different than JDM integra steering wheels. They have a lot squarer looking faces. the face on this is very round, it has a kind of mercedes smooth look to it, very luxurous. When you grip this thing it feels like gripping marshmallows, or comparable feel to newer acura wheels. It's truely an amazing steering wheel.

horn button works perfect, the bottom is brass as you can see so it is easy to hook up a clock spring for the horn.

Best of all, this wheel bolts right into an EK! no need for hub adapters or any other hardware. It's ready to go. I am trying not to cry as i write this description because i really love this wheel. You will feel the aurora and the good vibes it has when you put it in your car. :'(

Also, the wheel is the same diameter as stock. it may look bigger in the photo because of the skinny spoke space, but it looks smaller in person.

Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid (2011) first official pictures

Fri, 18 Mar 2011

Porsche has released details of its updated 911 GT3 R Hybrid – the 2010 original nearly won last year's Nurburgring 24hr race before (ironically) it retired with petrol engine failure.  The 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid – the lowdown Before this report disappears in a chorus of ‘it looks the same as last year’s one’, let's outline where Porsche’s engineers have been busy. At the unfashionable end of the car remains a 4.0-litre flat-six engine producing approximately 470bhp. Up front are twin electric motors, now producing 75kW of power each (up from 60kW) and combined these give the GT3 R Hybrid a 197bhp electric boost, which can be programmed to activate automatically via the throttle pedal, or manually selected during overtaking. F1-derived hybrid tech for the 911 GT3 R Hybrid Power for the two electric motors doesn't come from batteries, but flywheel accumulator technology from Williams Hybrid Power, an offshoot of the Williams Formula 1 team. The flywheel, encased in a carbonfibre safety cell in the space where the passenger seat would be, spins at up to 40,000rpm and acts as a mechanical energy store for the electric motors. Regenerative braking feeds energy back into the flywheel system – no surprises there, as the technology is derived from Williams' exeprience with Kinetic Energy Recovery Systems (KERS) in F1.

Baby born after 100mph police chase

Thu, 19 Jun 2014

A GROUP OF POLICE OFFICERS who pulled over a speeding car ended up facing a newborn baby instead of a criminal as a heroic grandfather delivered his granddaughter at the side of the road. Lola Mia Rose was born just as seven officers in four unmarked cars, who had chased her grandfather Colin Ellmore at speeds of 100pmh along the M275 in Portsmouth, surrounded the car. Her mother Tiffany, who has three other children, described the experience as "quite scary" and said she was "very proud" of her dad for delivering baby Lola.

Land Rover Freelander 2 hits 250,000. But is this the zenith?

250,000 Freelander 2s built It’s the car that started the whole compact SUV / softroader love affair back in 1997. Thankfully, the Freelander has come a long way since then, and the Land Rover Freelander 2 is a properly good car. So good is the Freelander 2 that Land Rover are celebrating the 250,000th Freelander 2 to roll off the production line today at Halewood.
