Up for auction is a New Honda pair of Saddle Bag Guards W/ Instruction Booklets. PERFECTLY STRAIGHT No dings or dents. Misc light scratches and scuffs from being stored all these years. There are some spots of rust but noting severe (pic 6 & 7). There is light pitting throughout chrome. This part fits: 1979-80 XL100S, 1979-82 XL125S, 1979-82 XL185S This part is from a friend of mine that used to have a cycle shop. Now he's a truck driver and wants to clear out his shop. It came out of a Semi trailer that was a dealer buy out in the early 90's. This is buy as is! Item needs to be paid in full by 72 hours of the end of auction or it will be relisted, unless other arrangements are made. I have excellent feedback and do not intend to ruin that! Fisker, Energy Department face tough Congressional hearing on federal loans
Thu, 25 Apr 2013Struggling Fisker Automotive took a bludgeoning Wednesday on Capitol Hill from top congressional Republicans who compared Fisker to failed automotive startups of the past and lambasted the Department of Energy for allowing the electric-car producer to draw down nearly $200 million in taxpayer-funded loans. House Oversight Chairman Darrell Issa, R-Calif., told Fisker founder Henrik Fisker that he will be remembered fondly for his design work for BMW and Aston Martin. But he compared Fisker to Malcolm Bricklin, John DeLorean and Preston Tucker -- three entrepreneurs known for their failed startup car companies.
Chrysler to close Pacifica Advanced Design Studios
Sun, 09 Mar 2008The 20 designers at Chrysler's Pacifica Advanced Design Studios in Carlsbad, California will soon be finding themselves out of a job. The struggling North American automaker announced the closure of the facility on Friday, stating that the company is ‘leveraging resources worldwide, forming new joint ventures and alliances and consolidating operations in order to better achieve global balance.' Responsible for many of the more successful designs hailing from Chrysler in recent times, including the Chrysler 300 sedan and the new Dodge Challenger musclecar, the Pacifica Advanced Product Design Center also yielded the Nassau concept car and the Pacifica crossover – bearing the same name as the west coast studios in which it was created. The work done at the Pacifica Advanced Design Center will be consolidated into the Advance Design function in Auburn Hills and continue to be led by Senior Vice President of Design, Trevor Creed.
