The revival of the DeTomaso name sparked an instant nostalgic focus on the infamous Pantera supercar. The Deauville, as unveiled at Geneva, was anything but the low-slung two-seater that people were anticipating. Penned by Pininfarina, the Deauville is a luxury sport sedan, meausing in at over 5000mm in length and almost 2000mm in width; the car seemingly attempts to blend genres, resulting in a high riding, four-wheel drive sports hatch.

We waited with baited breath to see what the Jaguar design team had in store at the Paris motor show this year, and we weren't disappointed with the resulting showcar. Created by a team led by Matthew Beaven, Principal Designer at Jaguar Advanced Design, the C-X75 is both a celebration of Jaguar's 75 year history and a design showcase for the company's hybrid turbine technology. The Land Rover LRX Concept, which was first revealed looks like the perfect route to go. But after a flurry of showings Land Rover has gone a little quiet on the project. It is reckoned that the project will cost Land Rover, and its parent Tata, around £300 million to get production ready.
