Leno lines up electric Ford Focus for celebs to turn fast laps

Car collector Jay Leno's new prime-time TV show launches a new segment on Friday night, challenging visiting celebrities to set a fast lap time on a track outside the entertainer's studio. The car that Leno hands to his guests is an electric-powered Ford Focus--a harbinger of a battery-powered Focus that Ford plans to put on sale in 2011. Leno's electric Focus uses the more-modern European Focus as its base, not the well-aged U.S.

Lotus begins bespoke program with Mansory

Lotus is going bespoke with help from Mansory Design, the company said on Monday. Mansory has worked with Lotus on a few special editions before, including the 2011 Evora Concept Bespoke they showed at the 2011 Geneva motor show. Lotus says the car received positive reaction at the show.

Audi TT revs up for Geneva auto show

Audi has unwrapped its new TT at a media preview proceeding tomorrow’s Geneva motor show, revealing the new look, contemporary interior and updated mechanical package the German coupe carries into showrooms when North America sales get underway later this year. The third-generation TT has an all-new exterior design.
