Overview:

The Masten TP-09 TPMS Tyre Pressure Monitor System is specifically designed for Camera Monitors and In-Dash Navigation/Multimedia Systems with a Reverse Trigger wire.

The TPMS module simply sits inline between your reverse camera and monitor. This means that your reverse camera will operate normally however, the Tyre data can be viewed manually on demand by using the button, or automatically if there is a critical problem with the pressure or temperature of your tyres. 

Wiring Help: The TPMS has 4 wires. The red goes to ACC+ (12V), the black to Ground, the reversing trigger (positive) to the monitor trigger wire (for example BACK, Reverse etc), the reversing trigger (GND) should not connect to anything. 

After adding this TPMS module, you no need power from the reverse light of your vehicle. Cut this power completely.

FAQ's: 

How can the alarm for low pressure be switched off? 

You can press the remote about 2 seconds to cancel the alarm sound, but the TP-09/TP-10 App alert data will still flash till the problems is solved.

Will this system work with my In Dash Car DVD? 

Yes. If your current system has an RCA camera input, and a trigger line input (used for sending power from the reverse lamp to the stereo), it will work.

Benefits of a Masten TPMS?

The dynamic behavior of a pneumatic tire is closely connected to its inflation pressure. Key factors like braking distance and lateral stability require the inflation pressures to be adjusted and kept as specified by the vehicle manufacturer. Extreme under-inflation can even lead to thermal and mechanical overload caused by overheating and subsequent, sudden destruction of the tire itself. Additionally, fuel efficiency and tire wear are severely affected by under-inflation. Tires do not only leak air if punctured, they also leak air naturally, and over a year, even a typical new, properly mounted tire can lose from 20 to 60 kPa (3 to 9 psi), roughly 10% or even more of its initial pressure.
