Land Rover Defender 90 Yachting Edition by Startech

Sun, 28 Nov 2010

The Land Rover Defender 90 Yachting Edition by Startech Rather than it being a surprise that Startech has produced a cosmetically highly-specced version of the iconic Land Rover Defender, the surprise is that more tuning forms don’t do it. After all, the Defender is as iconic a 4×4 as you can get, enough to imbue it with coolness and desirability by right. True, as a fast cruiser the Defender would struggle to hack it, but as an Urban Cruiser – where posing is more important than performance – it would do a fine job.

Fri, 06 Aug 2010

Scion vice president Jack Hollis is a former Stanford and AAA baseball player who, but for an injury, coulda been a contender, coulda played in the show. He's not one to boast--he didn't tell us of his baseball days, we got it from someone else. Nonetheless, you'd imagine the 6-foot-2-inch auto exec would have a pretty good self-image.

New Ford Kuga (2012): Kick a Kuga (or an Escape) +video

New Ford Kuga / Escape Hands-Free Tailgate - Kick to Open The new 2012 Ford Kuga will debut later this month at the Los Angeles Motor Show (alright, strictly speaking it’s the 2013 Ford Escape – but they’re the same) so Ford has decided to tease the Kuga with its clever tailgate trick. Yes, the new Kuga has a tailgate that has a party trick – it opens when you kick it. Yes, we’ve all hard cars that need their doors kicking to shut them (the new Kuga will do that too), but opening with a kick is a bit of a first.
