Does this Code Scanner work on my car? |
This OBD2 Code Scanner is designed to work on all OBD2 compliant vehicles. It is required by Federal Law that all 1996 and newer vehicles (cars and light trucks) sold in the United States and Canada must be OBD2 compliant and this includes all Domestic, Asian and European vehicles.
Some 1994 and 1995 model year vehicles are also OBD2 compliant. To verify if your vehicle is OBD2 compliant or not, check the Vehicle Emissions Control Information Label which is usually located under the hood or by the radiator. If the vehicle is OBD2 compliant, the label will state "OBD II Certified". Besides, all OBD2 compliant vehicles must have a 16-pin Data Link Connector (DLC) which is usually located under the instrument panel of the vehicle. |
|
How to use? |
- Stop the vehicle and turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position.
- Connect the Code Scanner to the 16-pin Data Link Connector (DLC).
- Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position.
- Press the READ button to retrieve Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).

TWO REMARKABLE Jaguars that were found abandoned in separate garages are to be sold at auction. A 1961 E-Type, one of the earliest ever made and confirmed as chassis number 40, was discovered just a few weeks ago in a garage near Le Mans by Coys auction house, which will also complete the sale. The car hasn’t moved since it was left in the garage in 1974, although Coys claims the engine was last started five years ago and it still turns over freely.

GM has invested $40million in its Korea Design Center, doubling the size of the facility. The expanded studio opened on 25 April, and will give improved support for both exterior and interior design. As well as more studio space, the upgraded facility now includes improved exterior modeling and 3D printing facilities, an outdoor viewing area with three turntables, and a virtual reality studio – the latter allowing design reviews to take place in real time with GM's network of nine other design centers in six other countries around the world.

HOT on the heels of its newly launched Aygo city car, Toyota has released the first details of its refreshed Yaris supermini. Scheduled to hit the showrooms this summer, the restyled car boasts an improved interior and better vehicle dynamics that its maker believes will position the car as one of the strongest contenders in the fiercely competitive supermini market. The Yaris follows the example of new Aygo, adopting a dramatic look that integrates a distinctive cross shape, centred on the front emblem, which separates the new-look upper and lower grilles.
