You are bidding on a nice vintage 4 gallon Johnson boat gasoline can. This has been stored inside the building and looks pretty good for its age. Both sides have about the same amount of wear and the Johnson Mile Master logos look good. The gas can would need to be flushed and cleaned if you were to use it, otherwise it would display very nicely. Notice there is a tag on the can stating it went with a 1955  55 hp Johnson long shaft. I dont know that to be exact, and of course it would work on others. Please email me if you have any questions. I will be listing a few other gas cans that came out of the same collection, throughout the week.  Of course I would combine shipping if other cans were purchased. Thanks

Uber smartphone app to take over taxi market?

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

A new smartphone app called Uber is threatening to put the traditional taxi out of business. The smartphone software allows users to ‘order’ a private car, connecting passengers with regular drivers willing to hire out their vehicles. However, these aren’t taxis… On Bing: see pictures of Uber Wifi hotspots for London’s black cabs Uber originally began in San Francisco in 2009, with users able to book and reserve a car driven by a regular member of the public for journeys via text message or the dedicated smartphone app.

Well, it’s Suzuki’s attempt at making a D Segment Car (think Ford Mondeo or Vauxhall Insignia) and so far it’s only been available in Japan and North America. But that’s about to change with a European launch at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

Problems with your McLaren MP4-12C? Have a ‘McLaren: The Wins’ coffee table book

Thu, 20 Oct 2011

Ron Dennis apologises to McLaren MP4-12C owners A couple of weeks ago we reported that McLaren was having some teething problems with their new MP4-12C but weren’t, despite reports to the contrary, halting production. The problems seemed to be mainly software related, with issues including warning lights flashing on and battery drainage issues, which seemed to be because the MP4-12C’s electronics didn’t turn off when the car was halted. But it seemed McLaren were working on the issues with the same sort of zeal we’ve come to recognise from their F1 programme, no doubt spurred on by the wrath of Ron Dennis.
