Item recovered locally and sold AS IS. This auction is for a Vintage Lot of old Valve Spring Compressors from Large Lot. This came in with a bunch of other old tools that mostly has something to to do with valves or valve springs. There are three different tools in this lot. The one in picture 5-6 looks to be in very nice shape and is not rusty. The ends go into the spring and the handle is squeezed. There is a ratchet in the tool that locks into place when a certain point is reached, keeping the tension on the spring. Tool in picture 7-8 looks like it might be homemade. There is a lot of welding done on it. Has a threaded screw on it with a broken wingnut that is tightened to compress the spring. The last tool in picture 9-10 looks pretty old. The ends go into the spring and the handle is depressed. There is a piece of metal that slides down the arm and keeps locking it into place as you go. Very cool variety of tools.  Thanks for your time.

Fri, 17 Apr 2009

Parajet's Skycar looks set for road-legal production in 2010 [ad#ad-1] Three months ago we brought you news on the plans of London Company Parajet International Ltd to take their Skycar on a trip to Timbuktu. Well, not only was the trip a great success – they arrived in Timbutu on 26th March – but the Skycar is now destined to go in to production next year. Bedfordshire Company Rage Motorsport, best known for producing Buggies, is to partner with Parajet to produce completely road-legal versions of the Skycar, with Rage producing the cars/buggies and Parajet adding the bits to make it fly (which makes sense!).

EU cuts Co2 Targets to help Euro car makers

Tue, 02 Dec 2008

In an astonishing outbreak of common sense, EU negotiators last night agreed a deal to ease the draconian Co2 targets for EU car manufacturers. Originally, EU car makers had to meet the new regulations by 2012, but have now won a concession to hit 65% of target by 2012, 75% by 2013, 80% by 2014 and 100% by 2015. This scaling back of the targets was achieved after Germany objected to the original proposals.
