One Lap of the Web: Retrofuturism in the world of tomorrow!
Mon, 07 Apr 2014-- In Alberta, Canada, a man stole a John Deere tractor and evaded the Royal Canadian Mounted Police as he crashed through fences, trees, and a field before rolling it on a hill. Nissan Nuvu 2+1 and Pixo at Paris (2008): first official pictures
Mon, 08 Sep 2008By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 08 September 2008 10:27 Nissan's Nuvu - a futuristic 2+1 urban concept car - and a new Suzuki Alto-based city car will make their debuts at the Paris motor show in October 2008. Pictures won’t be released until Paris, but we know the Nuvu will feature similar electric technology to the EV-02 prototype and the production EV that Nissan will unveil at the 2009 Tokyo motor show.
Ford reveals S-Max concept ahead of 2013 Frankfurt motor show
Thu, 29 Aug 2013Here's another one that'll probably go straight into the “not bound for United States shores” file: the Ford S-Max concept, which will make its grand debut at the 2013 Frankfurt motor show. Ford says the S-Max previews a “future sport activity vehicle,” which may, in fact, be contemporary PR-speak for “mini-minivan.” Look beyond the carbon-fiber interior detailing (and add some door handles) and you'll see a vehicle that looks more or less production-ready. The S-Max concept isn't too wildly sculpted, sharing styling cues with current Fords (including the Fiesta, Escape/Kuga, C-Max and Fusion/Mondeo) -- from the creases on the hood to the high, hexagonal grille to the stainless steel trim surrounding the greenhouse.
