Caterham introduces track-focused Supersport R
Fri, 09 Nov 2012Caterham Cars in the United Kingdom is adding to its range of open-wheel, extra-light sportscars with the Supersport R. The R model builds on the Supersport trim with more power, interior upgrades and an 1,179-pound curb weight. The Supersport R is motivated by a 2.0-liter Ford Duratec engine making 180 hp and 143 lb-ft of torque.
Wayne Cherry to receive EyesOn Design Lifetime Design Achievement Award
Mon, 22 Oct 2012Wayne Cherry has been chosen by a panel of his fellow designers as the winner of the EyesOn Design 2013 Lifetime Design Achievement Award. Cherry, who spent his entire design career at GM, joined the company in 1962 after graduating from Art Center and was part of the team that designed the 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado and the 1967 Chevrolet Camaro. In 1965 He was transferred to GM's British operations, Vauxhall, and led the design work on the XVR Concept and designed the SRV and the 1978 Equus.

On Monday, suspension expert Elephant Racing uploaded a video to its YouTube channel demonstrating the feature on the 2014 Porsche 911 GT3. In most four-wheel steering cars--Acura and Porsche included—a computer controls the movable rear wheels.
