Fifth Gear on TV – the Return
Tue, 23 Mar 2010Fifth Gear Returns to TV in April with a new format Fifth Gear was everyone’s second favourite car show on TV. And that second favourite label seemed to be its undoing when FIVE decided last year to ditch the show after it failed to make any impact on the ratings against everyone’s favourite car show on TV – Top Gear. And the first candidate for platform donation from Mercedes was always likely to be an SUV platform to build a Lagonda SUV on.
Audi R8 V10 – Cheaper than we thought
Thu, 15 Jan 2009The magnificent Audi R8 V10 was officially launched at Detroit this week (although we brought you details on the R8 V10 over a month ago!), and it will cause some real problems for car manufacturers at this level – most noticeably Porsche. Which could be a problem, as Porsche owns Audi! Audi R8 V10 - Cheaper than we thought The R8 V10 seems something of a bargain at £99,575 OTR (or £104,665 for the R-Tronic), particularly if you compare cars with similar performance, such as the F430, which is nearly £40k more.
