Troubled Nurburgring race track finds buyer
Fri, 07 Mar 2014Rex The legendary Nurburgring race track in Germany is set to be bought out by a consortium led by private investment group HIG capital, it emerged on Friday. The circuit has been burdened with enormous debts, went into administration in 2012, and has been looking for a new owner since last spring. HIG’s move will hopefully allay fears of car enthusiasts around the world, who visit the historic 13-mile track in droves to test the limits of both their car’s handling and their own skill.
Hennessey Venom GT sets new 270mph world speed record

Carried out on the 3.2-mile Space Shuttle landing strip at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA, the Venom GT eclipsed the former fastest car in the world’s record, the 267.86mph Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. UK Car Sales down 272,000 in 2008
Wed, 07 Jan 2009Well, we knew the car industry was in trouble, and that in the last quarter of 2008 car sales fell off a cliff. But it has now been confirmed that overall sales for the UK in 2008 fell by 272,212 units, or 11.3%. December figures alone showed a drop of 21.2% year on year.
