Mercedes GLA (new A-Class SUV) caught on video

The SUV version of the new A-Class – the Mercedes GLA – has been caught on video winter testing ahead of a likely debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The new Mercedes A-Class is now out in the wild, and this morning we had news of UK pricing for the new Mercedes CLA – the ‘Coupe’ A-Class – and now we have news of the next instalment of Mercedes’ A-Class adventure – the Mercedes GLA. We had video back in December of the new Mercedes GLA, but this time the GLA is out playing in winter climes as it gets close to its first reveal.

 Ford is taking the occasion of the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance to unveil the Ford Shelby GR-1 concept, calling the new sports car a salute to 'performance art'. The GR-1 is a uniquely emotional American sports car design that makes a bold statement about Ford's performance future. Semi-autonomous driving system reduces accidents by 75% [w/video]

Scientists from MIT have developed a semi-autonomous driving system that is proven to reduce acccidents by 75 per cent. A front-mounted camera and laser range-finder identify the car's surroundings while making realtime updates to distances, mapping out the car's movement into 'safe zones'. The system also asseses the vehicle's limits, such as grip, and corrects the car.
