Cadillac Converj concept
Sun, 11 Jan 2009Cadillac surprised the press today when it revealed a new 2+2 concept called the Converj. In his introduction to the concept, GM Vice-Chairman Bob Lutz said the vehicle was "pushing the envelope on design quality, and efficiency - everything that makes a great design great". Conceived at GM's Advanced Design studios in Coventry, UK, by a design team led by Simon Cox (Director of GM Advanced Design UK), the project was brought to realization in the US under the leadership of Dave Rand, Executive Director of GM Advanced Design.
Ford reveals ultra-eco Focus EcoBoost
Wed, 21 Aug 2013Ford has revealed Europe’s first petrol-powered five-door family car to dip beneath the 100g/km CO2 mark with the launch of a 99g/km CO2 Focus EcoBoost. The new 100hp 1.0-litre variant will launch next year and, at 67.5mpg, become its most fuel-efficient petrol-engined family car ever. Sun, 20 May 2012MINI JCW range gets new engines MINI has had a play and a tweak with the 1.6 litre turbo engine in the MINI John Cooper Works Range to make it more appealing. The Geneva Motor Show this year saw the debut of the latest MINI JCW – the MINI Countryman John Cooper Works – and with it output figures we though might be arriving across the MINI JCW range. Those figures saw the output of the 1.6 litre lump in the JCW rise to 215bhp and, surprisingly, managed to come in with economy figures for the JCW Countryman that were much the same as the rest of the JCW range.
