The agreement underlined BMW's determination to make its new i electric-vehicle subbrand a success. Despite a three-box profile, the 5.5-liter V12 diesel engine is located behind passengers, putting out 700PS. Transversely mounted with a wide V angle, the engine still allows space for four occupants, with a trunk accessed via a motorised opening.
