Coventry University MA Design Degree Show 2004
Fri, 18 Feb 2005MA students from England's Coventry University Automotive Design course presented their annual degree exhibition last September in a brand-new facility. The Show, entitled 'Move', displayed the 21 students work in the new Coventry Transport Museum, situated in the recently redeveloped heart of the city. An industry seminar was also hosted on the opening evening with a keynote speech by Kevin Rice, Design Manager, BMW 1-Series, and with event sponsorship by Corus.
Jeep previews Wrangler and Cherokee Easter Jeep Safari concepts
Wed, 02 Apr 2014Jeep has just released the first teaser images of the Cherokee Dakar and Wrangler Mojo concepts, prior to their debut at the 2014 Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah. The Wrangler Mojo features an orange and black exterior with a redesigned front bumper, a blacked-out front fascia and high profile off-road wheels that are just the thing for traveling around the rock formations of Moab. No details just yet on how Jeep has tricked out the interior of this one, though we expect it'll carry on the orange exterior and black design theme.
Lamborghini shifts R&D focus from more horses to fewer pounds
Mon, 25 Jan 2010Lamborghini's drivetrain wizards say they have all the horsepower they need for their super-fast cars. So from here on, performance gains will come from using lighter materials to reduce vehicle weight, instead of from chasing more engine thrust. "It has come to the point where acceleration equals consumption," said Stephan Winkelmann, CEO of the Italian automaker.
