Caterham Cars launches engineering business

Caterham Cars has created a separate engineering business, Caterham Technology and Innovation Ltd (CTI). It is one of the first moves since Team Lotus Enterprises took control of the company in April. Caterham Technology and Innovation will develop a new line of lightweight sports cars inspired by the Caterham Seven and draw on materials and knowledge gained from Team Lotus Formula One and the Caterham Air Asia Team in the GP2 Series.

The team from OSU celebrate their Electric Car World Speed Record Perhaps we should change our minds. We’ve always made it clear that we believe the only sensible use for an electric car – certainly a BEV (battery electric vehicle) – is as a city car. There it makes sense with its zero emissions at the point of use, and the limited range available – from anything remotely resembling a sensible-sized battery pack – is not a problem.

Designers at Bentley have collaborated to create one-off works of art to benefit the Christie, a specialist cancer center in Manchester, UK. The collection, which features a vast array of sculptures, paintings, digital art and photography created in many different media, will be auctioned off at an exclusive event at Bonhams in London on December 1. The unique pieces, created by created by Bentley's head of design, Dirk van Braeckel; head of interior design Robin Page; chief designer Raul Pires and 20 other designers, digital designers and clay modelers, draw on the skills and techniques utilized in their roles and their enthusiasm for art.
