Which is why the R-Line option of fairly understated sporty add-ons is so popular and why VW is offering it on more and more of its range. Instead, they went to Nissan, nicked the X-Trail underpinnings and proceeded to produce their mongrel Koleos. Remarkably – once you get over the looks – the car is pretty competent.
