Ferrari 250 GTO – the ‘Budget’ version
Fri, 06 Aug 2010The 250 GTO Evocazione - a replica Ferrari 250 GTO The last time we had a Ferrari 250 GTO in the news was when we broke the story that Chris Evans had acquired a Ferrari 250 GTO for an undiclosed price (thought to be £12 million +). And, much though it pains us to suggest it, the Ferrari 250 GTO Chris bought was not actually the most desirable of 250 GTOs. For that you’d be looking much closer to £20 million.
New MG: Is this the MG2?
Mon, 22 Feb 2010Is this a new mini MG - the MG2? Despite it looking at one point last year as if MG – certainly in the UK – was close to biting the dust, we now know that the SAIC Roewe 550 will be made in the UK and sold throughout Europe as the MG6 in hatchback form and the MG5 as a saloon. But now we’re getting news from China that there is a mini MG in the pipeline – the MG2 – and that this car will be turning up as soon as the Beijing Motor Show as an MG and not – as is usual for SAIC – as a Roewe which then spawns an MG.
Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet (2012) first pics
Tue, 22 Nov 2011These are the first official shots of the Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet, which goes on sale in March 2012. The convertible top still looks as if it was made of soft fabric, but it actually consists of three semi-rigid lightweight panels coated with a novel furry material, which conceals the cutlines. A fabric top layer finishes things off, and is claimed to be very soundproof, while the rear glass screen is heated and scratchproof. So the new Porsche 911 Cabriolet is a bit of a porker?
