LIQUIDATING MY 30 YEAR COLLECTION OF ANTIQUE TOOLS & TOOL CATALOGS

This is MAC Tools catalog #MT2001cat,  dated 2001.   All the general automotive tools of the day with many specialties. Nicely illustrated/photographed catalog with 439 pages including index,  in color, gloss card stock covers, gloss paper interior,   8 1/2" x 11"  full size format.  This catalog is in good overall condition with lightly scuffed covers and minor page edge wear, intact, clean throughout & complete.  It's priced accordingly.

MAC was a direct competitor to all the major tooling manufacturers such as Bonney, Cornwell, Herbrand, OTC,  Snap-On and others. Since 1938 they have remained a strong competitor producing a quality product and still exist as a going-concern nearing their 80th year anniversary. Their fine old tools have survived the years and can still be found in the tool boxes of professional mechanics, at swap meets, eBay and estate sales.

The new Chevy Colorado goes on sale in Thailand later this year, so the concept is right-hand drive. But the development program is for a global vehicle, so we're likely to see many elements from the Thailand truck show up on the U.S.

Jaguar sports hatch is inspired by R-D6 concept

Tue, 27 Oct 2009

Jaguar plans to add a dramatically styled sports-hatch model to its lineup beginning in 2014. To be priced from about $60,000, the sports hatch on the drawing board was inspired by the R-D6 concept first shown at the 2003 Frankfurt motor show. The R-D6 design, which had been considered an ill fit for the brand's traditional sedan/sports-car image, is now gaining support at the highest levels of the company as it forges an independent future under Indian owner Tata.
