And so it is with the Mercedes S-Class Grand Edition. So before the 2012 S-Class arrives with its Magic Sky and Magic Body and Magic everything else, Mercedes has bolted a lot of its high-end cosmetics to the more lowly S-Class models to try and wring the last few sales out of a car that is long in the tooth and no longer as good as the BMW 7 Series, Audi A8 or Jaguar XJ.

The Peugeot 207 Sportium It’s moving metal time again; that slow old time that starts once the new September registration fever has worn off, and before the new year arrives. And one of the best ways to move metal – or at least get punters to come and have a look – is to launch a limited edition model with some cut-price kit bolted on. Nissan Patrol breaks obscure Guinness World Record

The Nissan Patrol, a cooler-looking version of the Infiniti QX80 with a Nissan front end, broke a Guinness World Record on Thursday at Sharjah International Airport in the UAE. The nearly 3-ton truck pulled a 170.9-ton cargo plane for more than 164 feet (50 meters), breaking the previous record for “Heaviest aircraft pulled by any production vehicle” by 15 tons. The previous record was attributed to the Volkswagen Touareg that pulled a Boeing 747 at 155 tons.
