SO, WHAT'S THE ADVANTAGE OF K-PRO?

MORE ABOUT THE ECU, WHY THE 02-04 "PRB" ECU IS THE BEST ECU TO USE, AND WHERE I SOURCE THESE ECUs.

If you're going to have to get an 02-04 ECU for your 02-04 6-speed, then you want to make sure you start with the best.  Well, if you want reverse lockout to work on a 6-speed transmission, you're going to need the ECUs made for 6speed transmissions.  These ECUs include: PRA, PRB, PRC, PRD.  Next, if you want to run with a 4-wire wideband for more accurate in car tuning on K-pro, you're going to need an ECU that can handle it, so you'll need PRB, PRC, or PRD.  Then, if you also want the immobilizer to work on your car so your car won't get stolen, you're going to need an ECU made with the immobilizer circuitry, so you'll need PRA or PRB.  Finally, if you want an ECU with 6speed Reverse Lockout, immobilizer, and wide band capabilities, that leaves us with only THE PRB ECU, from the 02-04 RSX Type-S. As a service, what I do is purchase ECUs from any and all sources I have available, including ebay, I then take them, test them, and guarantee they are good functioning, quality ECUs, and resell them here on ebay.  I want to insure you that I take all the risks out of buying ECU's, HONDATA approve them, and turn them into good quality ECUs. I occasionally buy bad ECUs, and those are that risks that I take, in the end my price is no more than $340 which is what I offer them for, outside of this kit.  Note: As we all know, stay away from PRB-A13, this ECU cannot be K-PRO'ed what-so-ever, it is for the 05-06 RSX Type-S.  Although, go ahead and put your stock 02-04 RSX ECU in a safe place so you can return your car to stock should you find the need. Also, the immobilizer will always be off for the 02-04 model. You can get the immobilizer matched at the dealership if you want, it is only there as a precaution if you feel the need, instruction on that are here.  (All ECUs mentioned are from 6speed transmission vehicles, PRA=European Civic Type-R, PRB=RSX Type-S, PRC=JDM Integra Type-R, PRD=JDM Civic Type-R and some JDM Integra Type-Rs)

SO, WHAT ABOUT THE 05-06 RSX, HOW IS IT K-PRO'ED?

The 05-06 RSX can be K-PRO'ed, although not with the 05-06 PRB-A13 ECU.  You'll need the 02-04 PRB ECU (non-PRB-A13), and the 02-04 O2 Sensor, both included.  When K-PRO'ed, the ECU will be modified internally to work for the newer transmission in the 05-06, and an adapter/wiring harness will be necessary for it's use in the 05-06 RSX.  Additional cost for both the extra modification and harness is $150, additional to the $995 it costs to K-pro a 02-04 RSX and it's stock ECU.  Total of $1145 is the price for the 05-06 bare bones K-pro conversion on a supplied ECU.  The ECU must be sent to HONDATA in CA for special processing.

I could go on and on about the details of K-PRO, although that's why HONDATA has an entire forum devoted to their system. Use it.  Read up on the details. Download the K-Manager Software.  Check for updates on the software.  Download the Users Manual. Generally K-Pro equates to about 20hp for NA, and anywhere from 20 to 100hp with a turbo.
