Cadillac ConverJ unveiled at Detroit auto show 2009

The Cadillac ConverJ is an electric-powered limousine not seen until press day, harnessing the same plug-in hybrid tech as the Chevy Volt. GM product overlord and everyone’s favourite sound-bite merchant Bob Lutz said the Volt’s drivetrain had been renamed the Voltec system and it was this lithium-ion battery set-up that underpinned the ConverJ concept car.
GM recalls midsize cars for transmission fix
Fri, 21 Sep 2012General Motors is recalling the Chevrolet Malibu, Pontiac G6 and Saturn Aura to fix a problem with the transmission shift cable. GM says the tabs on the cable end may break. If that happens, the shifter indicator may not match the transmission's gear.
Daimler and BYD name new brand Denza
Mon, 26 Mar 2012Mercedes-Benz sources in Germany have confirmed Chinese media reports suggesting that parent company Daimler and Chinese carmaker BYD's new joint venture brand will be called Denza. Created as a Chinese-market-only brand, Denza is planned to support a range of "affordable" electric-powered vehicles, the first of which is set to be unveiled at the Beijing motor show next month. Based on the underpinnings of the first-generation Mercedes-Benz B-class--a car originally designed to accept batteries within its flat floor structure--the first Denza model was developed in China by a team of engineers from both Daimler and BYD Auto.
