Long-lost Cunningham Corvette race car displayed
Thu, 23 Aug 2012Chevrolet Corvette enthusiasts on Thursday got an up-close look at a car that raced in the 24 Hours of Le Mans 52 years ago but hasn't been seen for more than 20 years. On the eve of the Corvettes at Carlisle show in Carlisle, Pa., event promoter Lance Miller opened one of his climate-controlled garages to reveal the 1960 Corvette that many are certain is the car that wore No. 1 and ran in the 1960 race at Le Mans.
Ford Figo Saloon Concept is the new KA Concept with a boot
Mon, 03 Feb 2014The Ford Figo Saloon Concept (pictured) debuts in India The Ford Figo is a last generation Ford Fiesta built for emerging markets in India, but this new Ford Figo Concept appears to be a next generation Ford KA with a boot. That ‘emerging markets’ aim seems clear when one of the major selling points, according to Ford, is the flexible architecture of the power door mirrors that makes it far less likely the mirror will be ripped off when hit by a passing car.
Jaguar F-Type: Fearless
Fri, 06 Jul 2012Jaguar is continuing its PR assault for the new F-Type with a video setting out just how special the new Jaguar F-Type will be. If there’s one thing that separates ’New Jaguar’ from ‘Old Jaguar’ it’s their willingness to embrace every opportunity to positively promote their cars at every possible turn and in every possible way. The launch of the new XJ properly started the new style of PR offensives when Jaguar managed to release what seemed like a thousand teasers for their new big Cat before we’d even seen it in the flesh, and that was a full year before the first new XJs even hit Jaguar showrooms.
