Dr Zetsche opens CES with keynote speech
Wed, 11 Jan 2012Hot on the heels of the unveiling of the new Mercedes-Benz SL in Detroit yesterday, Dr. Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of Daimler AG hot-footed it to Las Vegas to open the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas with a keynote speech that highlighted the company's direction in the ever-important tech space. And that looks like it’s happening at bthe Detroit Auto Show in January. Ahead of that debut, it seems Mercedes are teasing the arrival of the 2014 C Class with the video below (they don’t say as much, but it has to be), a new C Class that looks set to grow in size and push upmarket.
Ford and Geely agree on Volvo sale, could finalize deal in early 2010
Wed, 23 Dec 2009Ford expects to sign a deal to sell its Volvo car unit to China's Zhejiang Geely Holding Group by the first quarter of 2010 and close the deal in the second quarter, the U.S. automaker announced today. Ford said that all of the deal's key commercial terms have been settled.
