This 3 piece heat shield set fits Sportster 2 into 1 exhaust systems. It works on both stock Harley exhaust & the screaming Eagle exhaust system. My wife bought the bike new in Jan '02 in DE & rode it 112 miles to home. I removed the stock exhaust system & replaced it with the Screaming Eagle system. I didn't realize the heat shields were the same til I finished putting them on so we put these in storage for spares. When I pulled them out of storage this week, they cleaned up nice from dust, except I couldn't find a couple of the hose clamps but you can get them at any hardware store

In pictures: proof that Saab will rise again

Thu, 19 Sep 2013

"NEVS SAAB car No1" is a slightly clunky and unlikely sentence to put on a dot matrix display, but for legions of Saab fans the world over, it's a definite reason to be cheerful. Because at 13:22 Central European Time on Wednesday 18th September 2013, a pre-production Saab 9-3 rolled off the production line in Trollhättan. It's the first car to do so since the marque’s collapse in 2011.

General Motors design landmark gets second life--as a school

Tue, 14 Jul 2009

"The profession was invented in this room,” says Richard Rogers, president of the College for Creative Studies (CCS), as he stands in the dusty construction site that used to be the General Motors Argonaut Building. “And this is where Harley Earl's office was.” Looking across the top floor of the building, it is easy to see a circle of concrete like the landing mark of a flying saucer. The circle is the remnant of an early platform for clay models, developed here for the first time as design tools for mass-production autos.

Nissan Terra SUV concept (2012) first official pictures

Wed, 12 Sep 2012

This is the Nissan TeRRA (which we'll be referring to as the Terra from now on.) It's a hydrogen fuel cell-powered concept car that'll debut on Nissan's stand at the 2012 Paris motor show from 27 September. Strictly a design study with no plans for production, it does nevertheless confirm that Nissan is thinking seriously about fuel cell-equipped cars, and that once the infrastructure is viable, Nissans will be quick to adapt to a hydrogen-fuelled future. It's not Leaf-style EVs, you know.
