Auction of Jay Leno tractor to benefit veterans
Tue, 17 Jan 2012Bidders at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Ariz., this week have a chance to buy a vehicle being retired from entertainer Jay Leno's garage and support a charity that serves military families. The vehicle is a New Holland Boomer tractor. For the past five years, the staff at Leno's garage has used the "Lil Tug" to move the TV host's large collection of classic and unique cars around the facility.

It includes the horrible neoclassics that plagued the 1970s, and the 1995 revival of the Packard name that attempted to stick a shortened rendition of the famous Packard grille in front of a 440-hp V12, all wrapped in a shape that looked like a melted Twix, as shown above. Our august associate editor Graham Kozak owns a Packard, so he could have filled us in on the details.
