Sinkhole Corvettes to be displayed before restoration

Thu, 27 Feb 2014

It's going to take a while to get the eight historic Chevrolet Corvettes that were consumed by a sinkhole at the National Corvette Museum two weeks ago out of that sinkhole -- just getting a specialized crane through the doors of the museum will take time. The museum has told the Detroit Free Press that the damaged cars will be on display at the National Corvette Museum from April through June of this year, once they're exhumed.

BMW tried to bring production of the old iron lump to an end in 1998 – replacing it with a characterless BMW 4.4 litre V8 – but it was back a year later when VW took over as the motivation for the Red Label Arnage – and it’s stayed ever since.
