Geneva Show 2014: BMW goes front-wheel-drive with 2 Series
Tue, 04 Mar 2014HISTORY has been made on the BMW stand at the Geneva Motor Show as it has revealed the production version of its first front-wheel-drive car. The 2 Series Active Tourer is a compact MPV, also a new segment for the firm, and under the distinctive exterior it uses the same chassis and clever three-cylinder engine as seen in the new Mini. In doing so it becomes the first production BMW to send drive to the front wheels alone.

Wed, 25 Nov 2009The new Twingo Gordini Renaultsport will go on sale in March 2010 It’s only a couple of weeks since we reported that Renault are going to revive the Renault Gordini badge for a new range of sporty cars, a report that was followed a few days later with a confirmation from Renault, and the news that the Twingo Gordini Renaultsport would be the first to launch. And Renault has now revealed the first of the Gordini cars. The new Twingo Gordini stays faithful to the heritage of the Gordini moniker with a Fench Blue paint job, white stripes and quilted leather.

Berg examines the BMW 325is, with its new, free-revving, 2.5-liter inline six-cylinder, making BMW’s small sedan an even more desirable ride. Compared with the more expensive Porsche 944 and Acura Legend, the BMW gets Berg’s nod of approval.
