Designer Paul Smith launches exhibition

DESIGN GURU Sir Paul Smith has given a glimpse into his world with a re-creation of his office forming part of a new exhibition dedicated to his work. The fashion star takes centre-stage at the Design Museum in London for the next four months with items from his vast archive on display. Sir Paul was at the launch today, posing alongside colourful life-size cardboard cut-outs and showing off sketches, designs and other paraphernalia from his lengthy career as one of Britain's best-known creative forces.

'Adam Seeks Eve' sketching competition winner announced

The top three designs of the ‘Adam Seeks Eve‘ international sketching competition have been announced. A judging panel of six professional designers and organizer representatives – chaired by exterior chief designer of the Opel Adam Niels Loeb – selected the top three designs from over 400 submitted projects. 23-year-old Marcell Sebestyén from Hungary claimed top honors with his design, while second place went to 36-year-old Lukáš Taneček from the Czech Republic.

Kia plans to replace its slow-selling Amanti sedan this year--close on the heels of the similarly sized, redesigned Optima sedan now being rolled out. But the exact timing of the launch is undecided. The Amanti replacement, tentatively called the Cadenza, had been expected in April.
