This is a rear heat exchanger taken off a 2006 Arctic cat Firecat F7 snowmobile. Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-in Hybrid EV (PHEV) Paris 2012 debut

Mitsubishi has already had a couple of stabs at a plug-in hybrid Outlander EV, with the PX-MiEV at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2009 and then again with the imaginatively named PX-MiEV II at last year’s Tokyo Show. But now we’re about to get the production version.

Eisenmann says its aero package is more than just pretty looks and claims that it improves the car's driving dynamics and weight distribution.
