UK Car Scrappage scheme gets green light?
Tue, 14 Apr 2009Mandy said NO to scrappage, but it looks like Alistair Darling will introduce a scheme in the next budget [ad#ad-1] After much to-ing and fro-ing, it has been claimed by most of the UK national press over the weekend that a UK version of the Car Scrappage Scheme will be introduced in the budget by Alistair Darling. Infiniti: M can be about mpg or zip

"The marketing will center on the point that hybrids have always been about compromise," says Ben Poore, Infiniti Business Unit vice president.
Young driver training scheme to expand
Wed, 25 Sep 2013AN EXCITING scheme has been launched in curricula across the country to give children education in and practical experience of safe driving. A mixture of off-road hands-on young driver training mixes with theory work to give kids a head-start on road safety issues and take away some of the urge to rush to pass their tests when they reach 17. After tracking the progress of students who took part in a pilot scheme, the operators of Young Driver at School discovered that the training course reduced the rate of accidents by half, when compared to the normal accident rate for 17-24 year-olds.
