2010 Buick LaCrosse launches at Detroit Auto Show

Update: Click here to watch video of the Buick LaCrosse: http://miad.autoweek.com/vidcast/2010_buick_lacrosse.m4v General Motors’ Buick division will launch the redesigned-from-the-ground-up Buick LaCrosse at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show in Detroit on Jan. 12. GM says the new LaCrosse is truly global, with an exterior designed in the States (and reminiscent of the Invicta concept from the 2008 Beijing motor show), an interior developed in China, Buick’s biggest market, and a platform done by Opel in Europe.

The biggest surprise at the 2010 NAIAS was GMC's Granite concept - a design that expands (or rather contracts) the truck/crossover brand's 'professional grade' philosophy to a compact hatchback aimed at urban hipsters and early adopters. Conceived by Frank Saucedo's Advanced Design team in California and then built at GM's Design Center in Detroit, the Granite combines the basic proportions of the Nissan Cube and Scion xB with a military/industrial feel inspired by the current G-Star and Diesel fashion lines. The facelift for the Nissan Micra aims to up quality We got a preview of the facelift for the 2013/2014 Nissan Micra back in March when the New Nissan March arrived in Thailand, but we now we get the official reveal on the Micra facelift for the UK and Europe. And it was needed. Nissan’s decision to move production of the Micra from the UK to India and Thailand has led to a big drop in perceived quality resulting in poor sales in Europe and a big need for Nissan to up the quality and equipment offered by the Micra.
