New Toyota MR-2 Hybrid planned?
Sat, 28 Nov 2009Bset Car Magazine's take on a new hybrid MR-2 / MR-S The Toyota MR-2 was a much loved sports car in its day (despite the MR-2 bit sounding like ‘Sh*t’ if said in French) and lovers of the MR-2 have long bemoaned its passing. But if reports by Japan’s Best Car Magazine are to be believed, Toyota are planning a new MR-2 as a hybrid to take on the Honda CR-Z Coupe. Which does have a ring of truth to it.
New Ford S-Max Concept at Frankfurt Motor Show
Wed, 28 Aug 2013The New Ford S-Max Concept (pictured) will debut at Frankfurt Ford’s sporty take on the Galaxy – the Ford S-Max – has been with us since 2006, so it’s time for a change. But with Ford in Europe not having the best of times and the new Ford Mondeo not expected to arrive until 2014, the all new S-Max – which will have underpinnings from the new Mondeo – won’t be arriving until 2015. But in the absence of anything new to show at Frankfurt, Ford has put together a Concept version of the new S-Max to try and show Europe it really does have new stuff on the way.
Singapore Grand Prix (2012): Hamilton on pole for McLaren
Sat, 22 Sep 2012Lewis Hamilton posted a stunning lap time to take pole position in tomorrow’s Singapore Grand Prix ahead of the Williams of Pastor Maldonado. All the talk about Lewis Hamilton may have been about a move to Mercedes this week, but under the lights at Singapore today it was all about his stunning lap that captured pole position for tomorrow’s race. Hamilton posted a time of 46:362 to take pole – his third pole in four races – almost half a second in front of second place man Pastor Maldonado in the Williams.
