The new Subaru WRX STI (pictured) is heading to the IoM Three years ago rally driver Mark Higgins went off to the Isle of Man with the last generation Subaru WRX STI and set a new record for a car round the TT course. And he’s about to attempt to beat that record in the new WRX STI. The current record round the challenging TT course is 19m 56.7 seconds – at an average speed of 115mph – a truly astonishing pace for a standard road car on a difficult and challenging road course.

Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 is sold out for more than a year

The sleek, angular Aventador LP700-4 from Lamborghini wowed showgoers in Geneva, and it's impressing potential buyers. Lamborghini said on Wednesday that it has received more than a year's worth of orders for the Aventador, which stickers for $379,700, including the gas-guzzler tax, in the United States. GM moving Chevrolet Impala to Detroit plant

General Motors said Wednesday that it will build the next-generation Chevrolet Impala at its Detroit-Hamtramck assembly plant, adding 2,500 jobs. The current Impala is built at GM's plant in Oshawa, Ontario. The next version is expected to go into production in 2013 or 2014.
