Bentley Continental GT3 – Bentley get back to Motorsport
Wed, 26 Sep 2012The Bentley Continental GT3 – a Continental GT prepared for the track – heralds Bentley’s intention to go racing. The Bentley Continental GT3 appears to be a lowered, widened and stripped- out GT with which Bentley plan to return to their roots and a long history of motorsport. whether that means supplying the GT3 as a customer car or a works racing team we don’t yet know.
Range Rover Sport desert-bashing exploits now on video
Fri, 13 Dec 2013The new Range Rover Sport demolished the Empty Quarter Last month we reported on an adventure for the Range Rover Sport (to add to its recent Pikes Peak jaunt), with Land Rover taking the new Sport off to the Empty Quarter Desert in Saudi Arabia (which also runs through Oman, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen) to see if they could cross it in a day. The Empty Quarter – the largest sand desert in the world – has endless miles (well, 500 miles) of hostile sand and dunes and temperatures as high as 50C – so it was quite a task. Land Rover enlisted Dakar Rally man Moi Torrallardona to take the driver’s seat and he managed to take the RRS through the Empty quarter in just 10 hours 22 minutes at an average speed of 51.7 mph.
Volvo could be heading East
Mon, 08 Dec 2008Actually, it could be going absolutely anywhere a bid can be found. As we reported last week, Ford is trying desperately to unload its last remaining prestige marque – Volvo. And, as we thought, the disposal of Volvo by Ford is said to be a condition of the help that Ford, along with the other main US car makers, is begging from the US government.
