All return items MUST be in brand new condition; meaning the item was never installed and kept in original packaging. All returns are subject to 20% restocking fees.

Shipping

All items are shipped via FedEx, UPS, or USPS; freight will be sent with carrier of our choice. Tracking # will be sent to your email address on eBay or PayPal records. A phone number must be provided for shipping purposes.

For shipments to Texas addresses, we are required to collect sales tax.

Buyer pays shipping for return item, and pays shipping for new item if exchanging.

It is your responsibility to accept delivery in person and inspect package before accepting delivery. Please make sure to open the box when taking delivery, to avoid potential issues. Do NOT sign for a damaged package and report it to driver; have driver sign for damage.

Warranty Terms and Conditions

Hi-Tech Body & Paint warrants to the purchaser that all parts are serviceable and functional. With parts that are entitled to a limited warranty, if found to be defective within the allotted time of the warranties date of guarantee (according to warranty provided on receipt) from the date of purchase, Hi-Tech Body & Paint, shall at its discretion, provide either a replacement or a refund.

Absolutely NO reimbursements will be given for delay, labor, mileage, or any other costs in installing or reinstalling a part(s).

ALL electronic parts are sold with NO warranty unless specified otherwise.

Core/Exchange part(s) must be turned in at the time of purchase, or a core deposit will be required. The core deposit will be refunded if core/exchange part(s) are brought in. In cases of returned items, the core or core fee may be non-refundable.

Motors, transmissions, transaxles, differentials and similar part(s) are guaranteed to work properly. For warranties to be effective, we require new oil seals, dealer verified fluids, and gasket to be installed before installation whenever appropriate in engines, transmissions, transaxles, and differentials etc... We do not guarantee against oil leaks, or bad seals/gaskets.

A complete engine assembly sold by Hi-Tech includes but not limited to the block, head, oil-pan, and all the internals. Alternator, starter, compressor, power steering, etc... are considered accessories and will not be a part of the sale unless specified otherwise. For any warranty to be effective, installation of the part(s) must be by a certified mechanic.

Motor and cylinder heads have heat tabs installed on them. If the center of a heat tab is melted out, the warranty is voided.

The warranty shall be void if the part(s) are not returned to us in the same condition in which they are sold, or do not bear the identifying mark which appears on all Hi-Tech Body Auto part(s). All returned part(s) must be accompanied by a sales receipt. We shall not be responsible for any part(s) which have been altered, modified, disassembled, or damaged by misuse or accident subsequent to purchase. All part(s) are guaranteed for stock installation only

Defective or Damaged Part(s) must be returned to Hi-Tech at our discretion before any replacement or refund is given. The Buyer is responsible for all shipping charges associated with returning the item(s) to Hi-Tech and forth. Warranties given are non-transferable between customers and will be considered void when transfer in the ownership of the part(s) has been made, EXCEPT when purchased by a dealer for installation into a customer's vehicle, in which case the warranty transfers for that customer only.

It is the purchaser's responsibility to retain the original invoice and present it for any warranty claim.

Imagine if the "X-Files" took place in 1960s Japan, and had its own cool custom car the heroes rolled around in: the Tortoise, a pudgy little thing that resembled the unholy combination of an Opel GT and a Dustbuster. It was bulletproof (not really), had gullwing doors (really) and was based on a Subaru 360 (really!). Sadly, its whereabouts are unknown, and it might have disappeared into the ether along with the UFOs its heroes probably investigated.

BMW and Toyota to team up for sports car

BMW and Toyota have agreed to jointly engineer and produce a new sports car as part of a broad-reaching technical partnership that is also set to center on lightweight construction solutions, fuel-cell development and hybrid powertrains. The announcement of the deal builds on an existing agreement for the supply of BMW diesel engines for various Toyota models, agreed to in December 2011. That was advanced with the signing of a memorandum by BMW CEO Norbert Reithofer and Toyota chairman Akio Toyoda in Munich, Germany, on Friday.

Goodwood Revival 2009: the first details

By Freddie Fulton Motor Shows 10 August 2009 14:22 Mini turned 50 recently, and the celebration of its engineering achievements continues at the Goodwood Revival in September 2009. Huge numbers of pre-1966 Minis are expected on track, bringing their owners and large numbers of enthusiasts with them. Champions and role models such as five-time winner of Le Mans Derek Bell will be racing, as well as Jackie Oliver, Bobby Rahal, Anthony Reid and Brian Redman. You can also hope to see ‘The Rally Professor,’ Rauno Aaltonen, who won the Gallaher 500 touring car races in a Mini Cooper S. Other Mini legends will include Sir John Whitmore, Alec Poole, Warwick Banks, John Fitzpatrick, Richard Longman and Barrie ‘Whizzo’ Williams. We at CAR are most looking forward to when a full 30-car grid, largely composed of 1275cc Mini Coopers, will compete in a race that is promised to be ‘the most closely fought race in the Revival’s history.’ That’ll be the St Mary’s Trophy saloon car race packed with cars that raced before 1966. Each day, a tribute parade of Minis will lap the circuit and show off some of their retro glory. Expect some Mini curios: an ice cream van is expected, as well as a Wildgoose camping Mini and other modified models. Some of these ‘Mini cousins’ will include the ‘Riley Elf’ and ‘Wolseley Hornet’ variants, which are noted for their reshaped boots and narrower front grilles.
