Because the M50d is a bit special, BMW has seen fit to relay not just a pile of new photos of the M50d (above) but specific details on its spec and options ahead of the on sale date in Europe. Just as in the first X50d, the new X50d gets the world’s most powerful in-line 6-cylinder diesel engine under the bonnet, which means a thumping 376bhp and a planet turning 546lb/ft of torque, enough to sprint to 62mph in a very un-diesel like 5.3 seconds.

The Peugeot Exalt Concept (pictured) arrives ahead of Beijing Peugeot were busy teasing the arrival of a new sports saloon concept for the 2014 Beijing Motor Show back in January, said to evoke the styling and materials of the impressive Peugeot Onyx Concept. Now, a couple of weeks ahead of the Beijing Show, we get the first photo of that concept – the Peugeot Exalt Concept – which seems to have been sent out a few days earlier than Peugeot intended in an overnight press release dated 10th April. Citroen DS3 DStyle Pink & DSport Pink special editions revealed The Citroen DS3 is one of our favourite cars – although it is starting to get a bit long in the tooth now –  and Citroen has decided to give New Year sales a bit of a boost by launching a pair of ‘Pink’ Special Edition DS3s for the UK. Both Pink Special Editions – the DS3 DStyle Pink & DSport Pink – come with a fuchsia pink roof, door mirrors and wheel centre caps and a fuchia pink painted dashboard and colour-cided gear knob to carry on the pinkness inside. Either model can be had with a Polar White or Perla Nera Black paint job and extra toys to make them a bit more appealing, with a total of four engines available across the DStyle and DSport.
