The listing is for the Original Boondocker Hardtail. I've been selling these since 2003 with great success. I sell anywhere from 150-250 a year to Dealers and individuals with no complaints. It takes 1-2 hours to install.

 I had one on my 800 for for 5 years, without running water wetter, and I had had a stock cooler. I put over 6000 miles on this sled in every condition a guy could get into.Four other "03" 600's that ride in our group had the same set-up.So overheating should not be an issue, keep in mind, the 03 doesn't have the best cooling even with the stock beavertail. Some people choose to put longer coolers on which is your choice, and you will gain cooling ability. For someone always in poor conditions this may be a good option. These sleds have been around awhile ,if you are already having cooling issues this will not cure it. T-stats go bad, antifreeze gets weak.   

 As far as strength, this is made of 3003 .090thick aluminum and with the special bends, it's strength far exceeds any other hardtail on the market without adding extra weight. You can lift it from the grab bar, stand on it, or Pull a sled out of the woods.

TOOLS NEEDED

• Vise grip C-clamps or regular C-clamps
• Drill
• 1/4 inch drill bit
• 3/16 drill bit.(optional drill is #11 )  This is very important, you want the rivets to have a tight fit. 

      A 13/64 inch drill bit is TOO BIG!

      It’s also not a bad idea to take a larger,like 3/8 drill, and lightly chamfer the rivet holes so rivet sets flat.

      Don't go crazy!!

• A good rivet gun
• A good Phillips screwdriver
• A file

 

MATERIALS NEEDED

• Snow flap and grab bar and bolts for MXZ 600, 700 or 800 (1999 to 2002)or any of the 04-07 REV stuff
• Small tube of black or gray silicone

 

• 20 3/16 x 1/2 long rivets for mounting tail
• 4 Large head 3/16 x 3/4 rivets for mounting snow flap
• 2 – 10mm axle bolts
• Detailed illustrated instructions

• I can get the parts to make a kit or you can get them which usually saves you.
