Developing a new Range Rover is always going to a difficult job, given its status as the world's best 4x4 and its avid fan base, and in this video we get a chance to hear from the people who influenced this latest model. Captain Jack comes a cropper our driving with Fifth Gear It appears – according to News of the World – that Barrowman got a little enthusiastic and came a cropper when his ambition exceeded his skill. Apparently John was driving the WRC Subaru when he lost control, slid down a verge and flipped the car four times. Not a small accident and, unlike Captain Jack Harkness, we’re pretty sure John’s not immortal!

New Mercedes A Class to get 99g/km Mercedes are to use a 1.5 litre diesel from Renault to create a 99g/km Mercedes A Class Blueefficiency. When the new Mercedes A Class was revealed at Geneva last week we got plenty of news about what the cracking new A Class has to offer, including the news that there would be a Mercedes first with the new A Class – a 99g/km option. At the time Mercedes gave us no detail, but its now appears that they are going to use a Renault-sourced 1.5 litre diesel as the basis for the new A Class Eco version – suitably Mercedes sorted.
