Fri, 18 Dec 2009By Tim Pollard Motor Industry 18 December 2009 20:33 It's a sad day for Saabphiles, as GM announced – one week to the day before Christmas – that it has failed to find a buyer for Saab. It will begin winding down the Saab operation immediately. There had been a glimmer hope for Saab earlier this month, as supercar maker Spyker stepped in as a possible suitor after similarly small sports car specialist Koenigsegg walked away from a potential deal in November 2009.But GM admitted it could not viably sell Saab to Spyker – and no other bidders were forthcoming.
Kia Pop concept (2010) first official pictures
Wed, 18 Aug 2010These are the first pictures of Kia's new 2010 electric concept car, the Pop, which is due to make its debut at the Paris motor show on 30 September. In fact, we can see from the bird's-eye shot that the seating plan mimics that of Toyota's baby with two positions in a front bench and a single rear seat behind the front passenger.
New 2015 Honda NSX – Made in America
Tue, 14 May 2013The new Centre – costing $70 million, stretching to 184,000 square feet and housed inside Honda’s old logistics facility – will employ 100 of Honda’s most skilled workers in Ohio to bolt the new NSX together, and even the engine will be assembled at Honda’s engine plant in Anna, Ohio. Not only has Honda revealed where the US-designed NSX will be built, but they’ve appointed their R&D chief engineer, Ted Klaus, to lead the team developing the new NSX and Clement D’ Souza, associate chief engineer at Honda USA, to head up production. Ted Klaus said: This new plant will be as unique as the vehicle we will build here.
