Scion sets sticker prices on limited-production xD, xB models

Scion has set base pricing for its 2012 limited-production xD and xB automatic models at $16,980 and $18,840, respectively, including delivery charges. For the manual-transmission versions, prices for the xD and the xB increase to $17,780 and $19,790 respectively. Both models debuted at the Texas State Fair on Thursday and are slated to begin filtering into dealerships in October.

Lotus fights back with three-year warranty and servicing deal

The move is designed to kickstart interest in the brand, which is suffering a 9% slump in sales in 2014 year to date. Despite every green evangelist proclaiming that electric cars are the way to save the planet from imminent doom, UK car buyers obviously disagree. Despite a taxpayer bribe of £5000 to buy an over-priced electric car, car buyers have not exactly taken to the EV in droves.
