Australian couple breaks Guinness record for fuel economy
Wed, 19 Aug 2009An Australian couple has broken their own record for fuel economy, light-footing it across the lower 48 American states to the tune of 67.90 mpg. Helen and John Taylor beat the mark of 58.82 mpg that they set last year, landing them again in the Guinness Book of Records. They drove a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta TDI for both runs.

Tue, 06 May 2014By Damion Smy Motor Industry 06 May 2014 15:51 Alfa Romeo has confirmed the news first broken exclusively by CAR in July 2013: the Italian brand will make a dramatic shift from front-drive hatches like the Mito and Giulietta, and instead develop a new range of rear- and all-wheel sports saloons, SUVs and sports cars. Announced in Detroit at Fiat-Chrysler HQ, Alfa Romeo chief technology officer Harald Wester revealed the mantra for the brand includes pushing volumes up from 74,000 sales in 2013, to around 400,000 by 2018. College Exhibition: NID Degree Show 2009
Tue, 09 Feb 2010Initiated in 2006, the post-graduate diploma program in Transportation and Automobile Design at India's National Institute of Design (NID) is the first program of its kind in India. At the end of last year, the university held its annual degree show showcasing the works of eight graduating students alongside works of junior students at the 'Design Street' at NID's campus in Ahmedabad. During their three year course of study, the students had an option of participating in a joint degree program between NID and Domus Academy in Italy.
