In past iterations the Ypsilon has been a three-door, and Lancia has styled the new edition with concealed door handles to continue the familiar look with a practical twist.

Exactly a month after announcing the Saab Aero X and Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione as the 2006 Car Design of the Year winners, Car Design News presented these awards to the winning design teams at the Geneva Motor Show. The award for 'Car Design of the Year 2006 - Production' went to the design team of the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione. Antonio Bravalle, CEO of Alfa Romeo, accepted the award together with Daniele Gaglione, exterior designer and Giovanni Pizzi, interior designer.

This is the new Audi R18, Ingolstadt’s latest LMP1 endurance racer which will compete in the 2011 Le Mans 24 Hours. Compared to its R15 predecessor, the new Audi R18 has gained a roof and the mandatory-for-2011 ‘shark fin’ engine cover, but it’s lost four cylinders – the R18 is powered by a turbocharged V6. It is – like the R10 and R15, the R18 is an oil-burner.
