Qoros reveals design language ahead of Geneva debut

New car manufacturer Qoros' future design language has been revealed ahead of the world debut of its new sedan for China and Europe at the Geneva motor show in March. The brand's first production car will be showcased alongside two concept cars that will preview the future design direction of Qoros' range. The company was created in 2007 by a 50:50 joint venture between Chery Automobile and Israel Corporation, allowing the Qoros designers the chance to create a new design language from scratch.

For those who prefer cosmetics over performance, the Stage One kit consists of the R6 aerobody package, which includes a remodeled front end, a hood scoop, rocker panels, a three-piece rear decklid spoiler, race-inspired (not CFD tested) diffusers and new chrome exhaust tips. SEAT Leon Cupra and Cupra 280 revealed SEAT has come out fighting in the hot hatch stakes, and has revealed two versions of the Leon Cupra with up to 276bhp. Based on similar underpinnings to VW’s Golf GTI, the Leon goes much further than the GTI by offering a choice of two Cupra versions, 261bhp in the manual three-door SC or a mighty 276bhp in the Cupra 280. The 261bhp Cupra manages to get to 62mph in 5.9 seconds with the Cupra 280 cutting that to 5.7 seconds when fitted with DSG ‘box, with economy for the manual Cupras at 44.1mpg, and 42.2 mpg if you opt for the DSG ‘box.
