He is currently BMW's global product management boss and will replace Tom Purves who will retire after 25 years with the BMW Group (Rolls-Royce)• Japan has bowed to pressure and extended its scrappage scheme to include American brand vehicles. The Land Rover Freelander 2 in the JLR assembly plant in Pune, India We reported last year that Land Rover were going to start building Freelanders in India this year. Well, bolting them together from CKD (Complete Knock Down) imported from Halewood, anyway. And, bang on target, Land Rover has had a bit of an event at Pune to celebrate the opening of their new assembly plant.
