As far back as October 2009 – when the Nissan LEAF EV was first revealed - we learnt that Nissan were planning the LEAF to be just the start of their EV adventure and that they were planning more electric cars built on the same underpinnings as the LEAF and one of those would be an Infiniti. Art Center and Clemson University students unveil Mazda Deep Orange 3 concept

Art Center College of Design and Clemson University students joined forces to design and develop a next-generation Mazda concept, the Deep Orange 3. The Deep Orange 3, which features a body designed by Art Center student Frederick Naaman, has been unveiled at the Center for Automotive Research Management's Briefing Seminars in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The project started with market research focusing on what kind of car Generation Y would want to drive, with the results showing that the majority wanted five or more seats.

Mercedes boss Dieter Zetsche has revealed that Mercedes already has 90,000 orders for the new A-Class just months after its reveal. It’s a credible, good looking and clever car that’s a serious offering in the premium compact market and, if the order book for 70,000 A-Class Mercedes already had by the end of October is anything to go by, it’s going to be a roaring success. That sales figure has now jumped to 90,000 A-Class – according to Mercedes boss, Dieter Zetsche – and stands at double the order book Volkswagen has for the new MK 7 Golf.
