Michelin Challenge Design announces 2007 theme and call for entries

Michelin Challenge Design will ask entrants to explore the future of transportation design using safety as the focus and inspiration. For 2007, the challenge is to design a vehicle for the North American market that enhances overall road safety, incorporating safety features for the occupants, but also for others who share the road.

Universal praise for its styling wasn’t the immediate reaction, but it is a bit of a grower – apart from perhaps the Monkfish mouth. We did wonder, when Ferrari revealed LaFerrari – complete with stupid name – if the only way to go in the future would be a LaLa Ferrari. It seems we won’t have to wait long to find out.
